Arsenal urged to sign Argentina star

The Gunners have been recently linked with a move for him

Arsenal had a very busy summer as Unai Emery was appointed as the new manager of the club after Arsene Wenger decided to leave the club after 22 years. The Spaniard signed a three-year deal worth £15 million.

Gunners didn’t got off to a great start as they have begun life under the new manager with back-to-back defeats against their big rivals Chelsea and Manchester City. But won their next three fixtures against West Ham United, Cardiff City and Newcastle United.

It has been suggested that the Spaniard will need more transfer windows to make them strong enough to challenge for silverware and could make more additions during the January transfer window.

The London Outfit have been recently linked with a move for Boca Juniors star Cristian Pavon and it has been suggested that the 46 year old wants him during the January transfer window.

The Argentine has been impressive for the club since joining them which has earned him a World Cup call up for his Country. He has attracted lots of attention from top European clubs.

Club’s new head of football Raul Sanllehi is believed to be leading the charge to bring the Boca Juniors star to the Emirates.

Former West Ham United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has urged Arsenal to sign Pavon in order to provide back up to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette as the 22 year old can also play as a striker.

“He was named in a decent Argentina squad,” he said as quoted by Daily Star

“Young, talented, fits the profile for Arsenal, whether Unai Emery is trying to change Arsenal or not.

“As I look at this, it makes sense because I feel that Aubameyang and Lacazette are building a good relationship up front, this gives them another option.”

“They’ve got Welbeck there but you know his injuries,” he added.

“This gives them another option to maybe play three up front which a lot of clubs do nowadays.

“It makes sense, so I’ll put that down as a hit.”
