#EmiratesStadium – the home of football ♥️

The Emirates is the club’s home ground and has been estimated to have cost around £390m to create. It can hold over 60,000 spectators on any given night with their record attendance being 60,161 during a game against Manchester United.

After 22 years with Arsene Wenger, the North London outfit chose Unai Emery to take over the club’s managerial position in June 2018.

Their final signing of the 2018/19 season was Denis Suarez from Barcelona. The 25-year-old arrived on loan in January 2019 for the remainder of the campaign.

It was refreshing to see two of Arsenal’s invincibles, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira get their starts in management already facing off against each other in the Ligue 1.

Peter Hill-Wood 1936-2018

A post shared by Arsenal Official (@arsenal) on

On 28 December 2018, Arsenal lost one of the club’s legendary figures, Peter Hill-Wood.

Hill-Wood was a major reason for Arsenal turning into such a huge global organization that it is today. He was appointed to the club’s board in 1962 and was named chairman 20 years later after his father, Denis’ passing.

Hill-Wood served the club in the position for 31 years, bringing massive success and growth through his managerial appointments. It was under Hill-Wood that George Graham and Arsene Wenger were appointed and we already know of the countless silverware the two enigmatic characters have delivered.

A bit of throwback! Remember this from our very own, Henry?
