David Ornstein Reveals The 4 Youngsters Who Will Fill Up The Arsenal Squad Next Season

Arsenal will be picking out a number of players from the club’s academy to fill up the senior squad next season, as per respected journalist, David Ornstein.

The Gunners youth setup is a seriously talented bunch and Unai Emery plans on rewarding some of them with more playing time in the future. Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Ornstein went into a discussion about the club’s transfer strategies for the summer.

Arsenal are not solely relying on transfers to bolster the club ranks but also are looking for developments internally. Reiss Nelson has shown massive promise in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim this season.

The English winger has scored 8 times in 30 overall appearances for the German outfit. Admittedly, Arsenal fans would have liked to see more of the youngster in action but he has impressed whenever called upon.

Emile Smith-Rowe also showed his winning pedigree and maturity on the pitch in the earlier half of the 2018/19 campaign. He made 11 senior team appearances for the Gunners and scored a whopping 6 times, at only 18 years old. Injuries hampered his loan spell to RB Leipzig but he could seriously be considered for Aaron Ramsey’s spot in attacking midfield.

Bukayo Saka had to be included in this list. 17 years old and also a winger, Saka is one of the highest rated prospects in the U23 side. He plays regularly for the senior most youth team and also made his debut in the Europa League this term.

Lastly, Joe Willock is thought to be more important in the upcoming season after his winning performances of late. He has been outstanding for the youth team and also for the senior side.
