Arsenal continue to track Newcastle United right-back Tino Livramento, with the north London club maintaining a long-term interest in the England international, according to Football Insider.

Arsenal Stay on Tino Livramento’s Trail as Newcastle Face Contract Deadline

The Gunners, alongside Manchester City, have monitored the 23-year-old throughout the current season and remain admirers of his abilities.

Newcastle United face a critical decision regarding Livramento’s future. The Magpies are reluctantly prepared to sanction a sale in the summer of 2027 if they fail to secure the defender on a new contract.

Livramento’s current deal expires in 2028, meaning he would enter the final year of his contract next summer, significantly weakening Newcastle’s negotiating position.

Sources indicate that Arsenal and Manchester City would attempt to negotiate a lower transfer fee given the circumstances.

Newcastle previously sought a world-record fee for a right-back a mark currently held by Achraf Hakimi’s £58 million move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.

However, Livramento’s injury record, including knee, thigh, and hamstring issues, deterred both clubs from meeting that elevated price tag last summer.

Despite his fitness concerns, Livramento ranks among the Premier League’s best in his position when available.

Newcastle now have approximately eight months to agree fresh terms with the defender before they must reluctantly consider cashing in.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly wants to strengthen his defensive options in 2027, and Livramento remains a player of significant interest.

For now, Newcastle’s priority centers on securing Livramento’s signature on a new deal.

Should those talks stall, Arsenal will monitor developments closely, ready to pounce on a potentially discounted deal for a player they have long admired.
