Aaron Ramsdale wants Arsenal to lift the trophy this season.
Aaron Ramsdale has his sights set on Arsenal winning some silverware this season. The Gunners are having a good season this year and they are the strong side in the Premier League.
Speaking on the Joe Cole Cast (via Goal), Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale suggested the Gunners should try and win the domestic cup trophies this season.
“The fans always have banter with other teams over when you last won trophies, so why would you not go and try and win the Carabao Cup or the FA Cup?” Ramsdale asked.
“For me that that would be a dream, to win a couple of trophies this year.”
At the end of a player’s career, you very rarely look back at how many times they finished 2nd in the league versus 3rd in the league. You look at their honours list.
The other side of that is that it’s become so important to be in European competition that you can’t just ignore that in favour of a League Cup final.
Arsenal may not need to throw the early rounds, as their opening League Cup tie against Brighton in November looks tricky enough already.
