His future at the club following Arsene Wenger’s departure has been widely speculated on and has been linked with a summer move. He has been linked with Chelsea, Juventus and Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
Though the Wales International has claimed that he can’t wait to work under new manager Unai Emery next season. His optimism around Emery’s appointment suggests he could be prepared to commit his future to the Premier League giants.
Asked if he was looking forward to working with Emery, he said: “Of course. I haven’t spoken to him at all yet, but I think it’s an exciting time for the club.
“I can’t wait to get back there now.”
Ramsey had to play through the pain of ankle injury in goalless friendly draw with Mexico as captain Ashley Williams was forced off after an injury.
“I rolled my ankle but I’d taken the armband from Ash and I thought I had to stay on and do my bit for the team,” said the 27-year-old.
“It wasn’t the best surface in the world and my ankle is a bit sore.
“Hopefully, there will be no lasting damage and it will settle down over the next few days.”
The midfielder has won three FA Cups with the Gunners, scoring the winning goal in the 2014 and 2017 finals.
