Alexander Isak of Newcastle United is a striker, and it appears that Arsenal will not be able to get him this summer. Given that Isak is among the greatest number nines in the world, Mikel Arteta’s affection for him is understandable.
However, since Newcastle’s PSR situation is under control, keeping Isak is their top priority, and the Magpies have no reason to trade the Swedish international. Following his appointment as sporting director at the Emirates Stadium, Andrea Berta seems to have swiftly advanced past the 25-year-old to other ambitions.
Both Delap and any other striker would be unable to receive that from Newcastle United. According to many, Alexander Isak is the world’s best striker and would fit into most attacking lines, if not all of them.
Having scored 52 goals in his previous two seasons, he will rightfully be the Magpies’ top scorer in the upcoming year. Knowing they will be Isak’s backup, the Magpies now have a difficult time persuading a striker to sign.
Arsenal want Alexander Isak alternative
Arsenal reportedly has a serious interest in Slovenian attacker Sesko, according to Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano. In his last two seasons, the 22-year-old has scored 39 goals in all competitions. Sesko, who is 6 feet 5 inches tall, is a physical monster who has been predicted to dominate the Premier League. After missing out on playing in Europe, the Leipzig striker is reportedly preparing to leave in the summer.
Romano wrote on X, “Understand Arsenal has started moving initial concrete talks for the Benjamin Sesko deal”. “He has consistently been at the top of the management, recruitment team, and Mikel Arteta’s list. Leipzig rebuffed his attempts to finalize a contract in January and May 2024. Sesko is going to go now…. The Arsenal is on it.
Viktor Gyokeres is still a target for Arsenal. With 54 goals from the previous season, the Sporting CP striker might lighten the load on the former Red Bull Salzburg sensation. If Sesko decides to come to North London this summer, Isak’s narrative should motivate him regardless of whether Gyokeres contracts with Arsenal or not.
