Arsenal have been known to be keeping tabs on K.R.C. Genk winger, Leandro Trossard and the Gooner understand that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs.
The 24-year-old is meant to be sent over for as much as €25m since an agreement has been reached by the grace of departing head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat.
It is being said that the German talent spotter who played a key role in the transfers of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has found a way to bring one last player into the Emirates before leaving the side by the end of this month.
Trossard has been capped once for the Belgium U21 side while also scoring 17 goals in 29 games this season. He has also laid out 8 assists to help Genk maintain a firm lead at the top of the Belgian Pro League.
Trossard did graduate from the club’s academy but spent 4 seasons out on loan with various European outfits. He has been slowly making a name for himself in his country and even earned a call-up to the Belgian national side last September.
Arsenal are in dire need of wingers and exploring the Belgian market seems like a wise move. Trossard could be a gamble due to his lack of experience any one of the prestigious European leagues but he can also be a hit if given enough time to prove himself.
As per the agreement between the two clubs, take this bit of news with a grain of salt since none of the major news publications have confirmed this particular report.
