As Victor Osimhen, a Nigerian, gets closer to helping Napoli to the league title, Arsenal has been mentioned as one of the teams that might make a move for him
Osimhen has been on fire this season and has scored 17 goals in just Serie A. On his present trajectory, he will probably become the team’s leading scorer, which could result in his departure at the end of the current campaign.
Teams from all over the world are currently circling the former Lille player because of his increased global recognition. Ciro Venerato, a journalist for RAI, has provided an update on his future and claims the striker could fetch up to 150 million euros.
‘At a meeting with his prosecutors in June, the Nigerian’s future will be decided. Ciro Venerato stated that “a contractual modification” will be required, to which the president is open, even going outside the confines of the club. If Osimhen were to ultimately decide to succumb to the Premier League’s sirens, “Arsenal and Chelsea would then engage in an auction with prices that may reach €150 million.’
No one on our team who plays offensively is having a season that comes close to what Osimhen is right now. The Nigerian continues to be the only player capable of turning a game around on his particular day.
Yet, we must be ready to part up at least one of our present possibilities before we can recruit him to our team. Before adding Osimhen to our team, we must be certain that we need him because we also have Folarin Balogun, who is currently doing very well on loan.
