Arsenal are claimed to be eyeing a move to sign Cheick Doucoure from Lens this summer
The Gunners are rumoured to be planning another summer of spending, with a striker, a forward, and a central midfielder thought to be among their current targets.
With a return to European football secured thanks to a fifth-place finish in the Premier League, we will be expected to enhance our alternatives ahead of the next season, whether we unload some of our present players or not, and the midfield has been a trouble area in recent seasons.
According to the Mirror, Doucoure might be the man to come in and boost our options for the next season, with the midfielder reportedly disgruntled that his club blocked his move to Tottenham 12 months ago before another outstanding season in France.
Whether he does go, it will be intriguing to see if he can gain a regular starting spot in our side, as he may be the ideal partner for Thomas Partey in the centre. He isn’t one to bask in the limelight, but he is content to perform the underappreciated duties well, allowing others to be more ecstatic.
Should an upgrade to Xhaka be high on our radar this summer? What other roles should be high on our wishlist along with a forward ?
