According to the reports of Transfermarketweb, Arsenal were first linked with a move for Tomas last year after an impressive outing in Portugal. Gunners are back again to start the process for signing Sporting Lisbon talent. They will look to sign him again at the end of this season.
The striker has not scored a goal in this campaign after 10 matches, but he still has a huge potential and Arsenal wants to add him to their squad.
The current report says Tomas’ current release clause stands at a huge £52 million. Arteta’s club is looking to negotiate that fee down.
If Alexandre Lacazette leaves Arsenal, the Gunners will find a replacement and Tomas don’t have an experience similar to Lacazette. Lisbon striker has not scored a goal in Portuguese league but Arsenal would still back him for future perspective.
