Arsenal is stepping up their efforts to sign Bukayo Saka to a new contract, and they are prepared to place him in the top division. William Saliba has committed to the Emirates until 2030 by signing a new five-year contract with the Gunners.

In order to persuade Saka to commit himself in the long run, they are currently pursuing negotiations vigorously, and there are encouraging indications that an agreement will be reached in the upcoming weeks. With two years left on his contract, Saka, 24, has already expressed in public that he wants to stay and win championships at Arsenal.

The team is also optimistic that an agreement can be reached, and although nothing is expected to happen very soon, discussions are said to have given both parties confidence that a deal can be reached that would make him one of Arsenal’s highest paid players and one of the greatest names in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of the Gunners, even stated last week that they were eager to make Saka their next priority after tying down Saliba.

Arsenal ready to put Mikel Arteta’s talisman in top pay bracket

After spending more than £300 million in the summer, Andrea Berta, Arsenal’s new sporting director, had a busy window. However, Berta also made it apparent that the club places a high value on contracts and retaining important players.

In recent months, they have made deals with Gabriel, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly. Saka would be another highly favored addition among the supporters, adding a significant lift to the season.

Given that Saka is one of the Premier League’s most talented strikers, Arsenal is prepared to pay him one of the highest salaries at the club. Arsenal has held good conversations with the player’s side and is hopeful of reaching a new agreement, albeit a new contract is not imminent.

Despite the addition of Gyokeres, Eze, and Madueke, Saka is still Mikel Arteta’s squad’s greatest attacker. The winger had a stellar 2024–25 season, making 37 competitive appearances and dishing out 12 goals and 14 assists.

Although injury has hindered Saka’s start to the current season, the Arsenal academy product has just returned to duty and will play a significant role in the team’s attempts to win a trophy this year.
