Arsenal are reportedly close to securing a verbal agreement for Viktor Gyokeres

According to L’Equipe, Arsenal FC and Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyökeres (27), are on the verge of verbally agreeing to a deal. Due in part to a lack of potent weaponry up front as Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus sustained season-ending injuries, the Gunners’ pursuit of the Premier League crown last season was interrupted, and they are currently searching for a center-forward.

According to the outlet, Gyökeres is a target for numerous Premier League clubs, and Arsenal’s Sporting Director Andrea Berta has set his sights on signing him. The Swedish center-forward is eager to join Mikel Arteta’s team, and it looks like the Gunners are in the lead to sign him. According to reports, Hasan Cetinkaya, the agent of Gyökeres, is nearing a verbal agreement with the Premier League runners-up.

Gyökeres scored 54 goals across all competitions the previous season, and Sporting CP is totally open to letting him depart on their terms. In order to bring Gyökeres to North London, Berta is reportedly looking to reach an arrangement for less than €70 million.

Arsenal finally make Viktor Gyokeres transfer decision
