According to Football.London, Arsenal hold a distinct interest in three summer targets other than Houssem Auoar.
While a move for the Lyon midfielder has not been erased completely, Mikel Arteta is keeping a vigilant eye on Dominick Szboszlai, Odsonne Edouard and Patson Daka.
Three of them were picked by Arsenal’s scouting department last season but none of them were priority signings. Of course, with the addition of Thomas Partey, Arteta has some grounds to reshape his plans for the club going forward.
There is still no guarantee if a deal for Auoar will be concluded in the near future but Arsenal will definitely need reinforcements in the position. Mesut Ozil has been excluded from the squad and the Gunners need more creativity in those central areas. Red Bull Salzburg’s Dominick Szoboszlai is a brilliant prospect who has earning high praise in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Edouard and Daka could be great additions for the future to shore up the attack. Both of them hold excellent records with Celtic and Salzburg respectively. They are still very young at 22 years of age and are ready to make step up in their career. Signing them could depend on whether Alexandre Lacazette stays beyond the current season.
