Arsenal Asked To Be Patient With Arteta

The Gunners have been asked to remain patient with current boss Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal won 3-1 over Chelsea on Saturday, ending their seven-match winless streak, bringing some relief to the Gunners boss. Former Emery assistant Juan Carlos Carcedo believes that Arteta will pick up pace even though Arsenal was off to a rocky start in the new Premier League season.

Arsenal will be facing Brighton on Tuesday and West Brom on Saturday – which will also be imperative in determining Arteta’s fate at the Emirates.

Carcedo believes that a stable form is required of Arsenal to get back to their winning ways.

“It is not easy,” said Carcedo. “After so many years with Wenger, it was not an easy moment. It is true that there were changes in many different areas of the club, but the club hierarchy has to try to keep things calm and give confidence to the people working there, now it is Mikel and [technical director] Edu.

“I know it is not easy sometimes, with results, but constant changes are not good and you need to have patience for the results to arrive, and so that the people who work there now can achieve the things they are fighting for.”
