Arsenal will be in action for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against Bayern Munich. Currently, Bayern’s Harry Kane is in top form and he would hope for the European trophy this season. However, the Arsenal skipper has no fear of the former Tottenham star.
Martin Odegaard feels Arsenal do not fear Harry Kane ahead of his London return with Bayern Munich. The Englishman has played a lot in North London and he will be back again.
The 30-year-old is in great form and has scored 38 goals across all competitions. Martin Odegaard said, “(He’s) a good player, of course, and I have played against him a few times and we know the quality he has in the box and he is also good in the link up.”
“We are facing a good team on Tuesday. I think we should respect him but I don’t think we should fear anyone and we should focus on ourselves and the quality we have in our team. And that is all.”
Harry Kane is the second-highest goalscorer of the Premier League. He also remained the all-time highest goalscorer at Tottenham. He made a summer move to Bayern this season and surprised all English fans.
Meanwhile, it will be a tough game for Bayern considering their form. Thomas Tuchel’s side suffered a 3-2 defeat at Heidenheim on Saturday and their trophy is gone. They are sitting 16 points clear of leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
“They have had some strange results in the league but if you look at the team, you can see the quality they have, and we know that, we know they are a really strong side,” said Odegaard.
“Really good individual players as well. It will be a tough battle. But we are ready. Every game we play there are some good challenges and we play in the best league in the world. They are a good team and a lot of good attacking players and it will be a big night.”
