After declining a new contract at the London Stadium, Rice is anticipated to depart West Ham at the end of the current campaign, and numerous Premier League opponents are interested in a summer transfer.
The England midfielder is allegedly Arsenal’s top target for the transfer window, and they are optimistic that they will prevail. Despite interest from Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United, The Express reports that the Gunners are willing to triple Rice’s salary and have put themselves in “pole position” to sign the 24-year-old.
Moving to the Emirates would allow Rice to stay in London and participate in the Champions League the next year. Mikel Arteta’s team has made significant improvement this season to contend for the Premier League crown.
The north Londoners plan to make further investment in the team this summer and will seek to secure a move for Rice, who West Ham previously estimated to be worth a British transfer record figure.
Rice’s refusal to agree to a new contract, though, may force West Ham to reduce their midfielder’s value. He now has a deal with the Hammers that lasts through 2025.
