As Mikel Arteta looks to make big changes, Arsenal may possibly be planning a lot of high-profile departures this summer. As Arsenal looks to bolster but not overcrowd its roster, sources suggest that Edu will implement a one-in, one-out strategy at the Emirates this month and next.

Football Insider sources claim that Eddie Nketiah will travel with Arsenal to the United States for their preseason game, even though it seems likely he will be leaving soon. The 25-year-old is anticipated to depart his boyhood club prior to the August 31 deadline, as Mikel Arteta has determined that he is surplus to requirements.

Having come up short against Manchester City the previous season, Arteta will be looking to offload the striker in order to generate money for a potential title challenge. West Ham and Crystal Palace, two other London teams interested in signing the striker, are eager to match Arsenal’s offer of more than £30 million.

Arsenal ready to cash in on Eddie Nketiah

The majority of Nketiah’s professional career has been spent with Arsenal; he only ever went on loan from the team once, for a disastrous stint with Leeds United in 2019-20. Even though he doesn’t play much, Nketiah averages a Premier League goal every 211 minutes quite an accomplishment given that he is primarily a substitute.

Nketiah, an Arsenal striker who is currently the team’s third choice, was reportedly in negotiations to join Marseille. After being left out of England’s Euro 2024 squad, Nketiah has resumed training.
