Edu is paying close attention to Saliba’s progress in France.
Gunners chief Edu don’t think the club will lose William Saliba. The technical director of Arsenal is backing the Frenchman despite Arteta doubts.
Manager Mikel Arteta isn’t yet sold on Saliba. Edu looks confident and he has faith in the defender.
Arsenal shipped Marseille defender again this summer after making an impressive start to his season-long loan stint in Ligue 1. L’Equipe claims Edu is paying close attention to the centre-back’s progress in France.
The outlet adds his relationship with Arteta was poor and ‘communication close to nothing’, as the young centre-half regularly trained and went home without an explanation of his fringe status.
He even watched the defender in action against PSG last month. His side held PSG for a goalless draw and silenced Lionel Messi, Neymar, Angel di Maria and Kylian Mbappe.
