Arsenal duo are expected to prosper this new season

Two Man City players have joined the Gunners this summer.

The Gunners have signed Man City duo Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandsr Zinchenko for a combined £75million this summer window.

Both the players have plenty of experience under their belt and could be crucial for Arteta’s squad in the new season.

They have also worked with Arteta when he was Guardiola’s assistant at the Etihad.

Gabriel Jesus scored a hattrick against Sevilla in Arsenal’s last pre-season friendly.

Former Arsenal player Mikael Silvestre believes the duo will hit the ground running at the Emirates.

“Both Zinchenko and Jesus have all the necessary qualities and understanding,” said Silvestre, who was speaking on behalf of 888sport. “It also helps that Mikel was at City so he’s been coaching these guys. That will be a big help for both of them.

“Zinchenko is more of a wing-back than a full-back due to his willingness to go forward. That’s when he’s most effective, moving into midfield and showing his offensive style of play.”
