Arsenal have begun talks with PSG over a possible transfer for Ruiz.
Arsenal have entered talks over a potential deal for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz. They are keen to bring one midfielder in the first-team squad ahead of the new season.
They have already added one player to their squad as they have converted David Raya’s loan move into a permanent deal. Riccardo Calafiori is also set to arrive from Bologna to solve defence issue.
The Gunners are still looking to improve in other areas of the pitch, including in the middle of the park. Mohammed Elneny has already left the club this summer. Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe are also linked with some other clubs.
The North London club are believed to be weighing up a potential offer for Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino. Now, they have added one more player to their wishlist.
As per the journalist Duncan Castles, Arsenal have begun talks with PSG over a possible transfer for Ruiz. The report adds any move for the Spanish midfielder will depend on Arsenal offloading one of their current options.
Arsenal can plan the same deal as they did with David Raya. They can sign the 28-year-old on loan and later, they can buy him at the end of the summer in 2025.
Ruiz joined PSG from Napoli in the summer of 2022 for an initial €21.5m fee. He started 24 of his 37 appearances in his first season with the Ligue 1 winners. Next season, he was restricted to 14 starts in 21 league matches.
The PSG man was part of the Spain squad who won the European Championship. He was part of the UEFA’s Team of the Tournament.
