Arsenal are reportedly still pursuing a move for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, despite the imminent signing of Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

Loan Offer: Arsenal’s New Plan to Secure Rodrygo from Real Madrid

The Gunners are monitoring the Brazilian’s situation closely as the transfer window enters its final days.

Journalist Graeme Bailey has indicated that a move to the Emirates “still has some legs,” though any potential deal hinges on Rodrygo’s playing time this weekend.

If he remains on the bench, his future at Madrid could come into sharp focus

Real Madrid initially valued the 24-year-old at around €100 million (£86 million), but reports suggest they could lower their asking price to between €60-70 million (£51-60 million) as the deadline approaches to facilitate a sale. Some sources even mention a figure of £78 million.

While a loan move has been discussed due to Arsenal’s significant summer spending, the Spanish giants appear reluctant to sanction a temporary departure. The club’s stance, and the player’s own intentions, remain key obstacles.

Rodrygo was an unused substitute in Madrid’s season opener against Osasuna, fueling speculation about his role under manager Xabi Alonso.

Arsenal’s sporting director, Andrea Berta, is said to be an admirer and is exploring the feasibility of a deal.

The potential arrival of Rodrygo would add another layer of attacking firepower to Mikel Arteta’s squad, which has already been strengthened by the signings of Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke this summer.

However, the club may need to sell players like Reiss Nelson or Oleksandr Zinchenko to fund a major move.
