Arsenal are reportedly keen to sign Orkun Kokcu!
So who is this Feyenoord star? Why are Arsenal interested in him?
It is being reported that Edu, the Arsenal transfer chief are keen to bring him to the Emirates. The 19 year old is set to feature for Turkey in the 2020 Euros and the Gunners want to tie a deal before his valuation goes up.
Kokcu is currently the star player at Feyenoord and has a contract till 2023 with the club.
The kid can play both as a central midfielder and as an attacking central midfielder.
He broke into the scene on a regular basis last season making 11 appearances and has now become a full fledged first team player making 27 appearances and scoring 3 goals in the process so far for Feyenoord.
Kokcu is young and impressive and has excellent technical ability – something that has caught the attention of Arteta and co at the Emirates.
He is also vital to Arsenal’s plan since their midfield needs a revamp.
With Guendozi, they have a bright future but besides him Willock has been shaky even after two seasons.
Xhaka is a player who is being kept due to lack of options while Torreira depsite being brillaint is not exactly a player for Arteta’s technical football.
Hence, Arsenal should really get him on board as soon as the market opens!
