The dynamic midfielder has collected 15 goals and 8 assists 35 appearances across all competitions this season.
He struck the back of the net twice against Tottenham to send Leipzig through to the Champions League quarter-finals. Sabitzer is capable of playing anywhere in midfield in both attacking and defensive roles. He has usually operated as a central midfielder or even on the right flank under Julian Naggelsman.
Mikel Arteta is still trying to figure out the dynamic of his midfield ranks. Joe Willock is the Gunners highest-scoring midfielder with 4 goals this season. Reports suggest that Sabitzer’s signature could cost as much as €40m. However, the Gunners will have a hard time convincing the 25-year-old without Champions League football next season.
