An offer for Wolves goalkeeper Dan Bentley was turned down by Arsenal. Only a few days after acquiring Brentford’s David Raya on a permanent basis, the Gunners are eager to add another goalkeeper. Mikel Arteta is eager for an English third-choice option, especially because Aaron Ramsdale is already at the Emirates as a backup.
Numerous teams have implemented a similar strategy, such as Chelsea with Marcus Bettinelli, Manchester United with Tom Heaton, and Manchester City with Scott Carson. It assists teams in fulfilling domestic targets in addition to providing a seasoned goalie who serves as a sort of advisor. Arsenal is keen on signing another goalkeeper this summer

Bentley really started his youth career with Arsenal, where he stayed for seven years until being let go in 2008. He was friends with Inaki Cana, the goalie coach at Brentford, before joining the Gunners.
Since joining Wolves in January of last year, Bentley has trailed Jose Sa in popularity. By hiring Karl Hein this summer, Arsenal has already made progress in their goalkeeping division.
