The English defender joined the Gunners in a reported £50m deal from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2021.
A few questions were raised over the exorbitant amount for a player who had only one year of Premier League football under his belt.
The 26-year-old centre-back slotted in the right-back position for the 2022/23 season and was an excellent fit for Mikel Arteta’s squad.
The England international has established himself as a key member of Mikel Arteta’s first XI and is currently the 11th highest-earner at the club.
His deal with Arsenal expires in the summer of 2026 but the club is keen to reward White with a new contract following his stellar form since joining the club.
Transfer pundit, Fabrizio Romano believes Arsenal are confident that they will soon sanction a new deal for the English defender.
“Arsenal are more than confident to get a new deal done and sealed soon for Ben White,” Fabrizio Romano recently tweeted.
“Negotiations are ongoing since August/September, as reported earlier. White, happy at Arsenal as club want his new contract sealed after Odegaard signed last month.”
