Eddie Nketiah of Arsenal is adamant that he will not accept a benchwarmer position at the Emirates Stadium

The addition of Kai Havertz, who expands the team’s attacking options, has boosted rivalry for the striker’s starting spot.

Folarin Balogun has also rejoined Arsenal after a fruitful loan stint at Reims and may stay there, increasing the rivalry for Nketiah. Even though Havertz is primarily a midfielder, his adaptability allowed him to play as a striker while at Chelsea, which would hurt Nketiah’s prospects of playing that position at Arsenal.

Nketiah had committed to the team by signing a new long-term contract before the start of the previous season, despite the competition. Despite the heightened competition, he is eager to make sure he receives regular playing time.

Nketiah may fall farther down the club’s striker hierarchy as the season progresses, making it all the more important for him to put in the effort and contend for a spot in the starting eleven.

Nketiah did well to win a new deal with the team, but the striker might have trouble seeing action in games next year. If he wants to play frequently, he might have to think about going out on loan from the Emirates for a while, allowing him to demonstrate that he has what it takes to succeed in England.
