Alexandre Lacazette could return to action against Sheffield United over a weeks time.
The French striker has missed all of last month and 7 games due to an ankle injury. He started off the season in good form but had to be sidelined for a minor operation.
Arsenal have only scored 13 goals in the 8 games played so far, which is the lowest tally among the top six Premier League teams right now. The reappearance of Lacazette will certainly help in that avenue since Nicholas Pepe is yet to get a consistent scoring run going.
Lacazette has so far racked up 38 goals for Arsenal with his last two coming against Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur. ESPN claim that the Gunners are confident of having their number nine fit for the trip to Bramall Lane on 21 October.
In the 28-year-old’s absence, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have broken through to the senior side and impressed significantly. Arsenal hero, Bob Wilson went on to say that Martinelli has a certain Ian Wright trait in him.
Unai Emery will be looking to keep his team’s place in the top four with a win against Sheffield United. The last time these two sides faced each other, Arsenal lost 1-0 despite having Phil Jagielka as the opposition goalie for 30 minutes. Time to burn that memory!
