The German champions were keen to hang onto Goretzka until the conclusion of the season since Bayern were still fighting on several fronts and lacked depth in their seasoned midfield.
However, when the season is over, that position is anticipated to change. Goretzka is still among the most seasoned midfielders in European football at the age of thirty-one. He has won several Bundesliga championships and the Champions League throughout his tenure at Bayern, and he has built a solid reputation for himself as a goal threat from midfield and for his physical presence and deft mobility.
