According to news reports, Arsenal has made another attempt to sign Nigerian Victor Osimhen. The fact that Fenerbahce’s sporting director contacted Napoli’s sporting director to ask about the possibility of signing the Nigerian further supports the notion that a club from outside of Turkey may have the best chance of acquiring the player.
However, Osimen’s sports director gave a straightforward answer, stating that anyone interested in signing Viktor must spend 25 million euros as a bidder out of the anticipated 75 million euros for the player. Victor Osimhen is currently being pursued by three Premier League teams: Arsenal, Chelsea, and Newcastle United. The Saudi League, in particular, is also very interested in signing him.
The Gunners’ offensive has been a concern, as they have only managed one goal in their past three games across all competitions. With just four league goals to date, Kai Havertz leads the club, followed by Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, both of whom have three goals. Osimhen, who is now on a season-long loan from Napoli with Galatasaray, has been advised to try to sign with Arsenal.
Even though Osimhen has stated in the past that he is happy at Galatasaray and wants to finish his loan period, Napoli is obviously amenable to talks if their expectations are satisfied. It is believed that Mikel Arteta is eager to give Arsenal’s front line additional firepower, and Osimhen’s combination of physicality, speed, and demonstrated finishing ability makes him the kind of striker they are looking for.
