Arsenal Hold Talks For RB Leipzig Star - Ibrahim Konate

Arsenal have reportedly placed RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande on their summer shortlist, according to Sky Sports.

Arsenal put on alert as £86m star shines at World Cup-but there’s a catch

The Gunners are actively searching for a marquee left-winger ahead of the next transfer window, with several high-profile names already linked to the Emirates.

The 19-year-old Ivorian has enjoyed a sensational breakthrough season in the Bundesliga and is currently showcasing his talents at the World Cup.

His latest performance against Ecuador caught plenty of attention Diomande tormented Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie with relentless dribbling, completing four take-ons and winning 11 duels from the right flank.

However, despite his obvious quality, a major obstacle stands in the way of any potential deal.

Diomande feels most comfortable on the right wing a position where Arsenal already boast considerable depth.

During his debut campaign at Leipzig, the teenager delivered 20 of his 23 goal contributions from that side.

RB Leipzig have slapped a staggering £86 million price tag on their prized asset.

Arsenal are highly unlikely to commit a fee for another right-sided attacker when they already have Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, and young prodigy Max Dowman competing for that role.

Instead, the club’s recruitment team will likely focus their budget on strengthening the left flank.

With Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli facing uncertain futures, Arsenal need at least one, possibly two, new left-wingers.

Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis has emerged as a prime target, with a £35 million deal potentially within reach.

Many at the Emirates would also welcome a move for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, who represents a clear upgrade in that position.

For now, Diomande remains a name on Arsenal’s radar—but expect the Gunners to invest their resources elsewhere this summer.
