Arsenal’s injury lists appear to be escalating quickly this season, leaving fans to wonder if something is going on at London Colney in secret or if the accumulation of games over the previous season is to blame
Arsenal fans are becoming concerned about the upcoming season as six players have confirmed injuries. If we want to keep up and compete with teams like Manchester City this season, we will need to solve our injury issues.
Obviously, playing professional football at such a high level means that injuries are part of the deal and a constant fight. However, if you’re an Arsenal fan and they start to come thick and fast like they just have, you’re going to start to worry.
Arsenal risks losing a fresh recruit. Thomas Partey appears to be out for a significant amount of time as well, while we remain optimistic about his early comeback. Jurrien Timber has been sidelined for what has been rumoured to be up to the entire season.
Gabriel Martinelli had to leave the pitch early against Everton due to an injury, and he hasn’t practised with the club since. After Arsenal’s victory over PSV, Leandro Trossard sustained an injury during practise, and he hasn’t been able to train with the club since.
While Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka were both forced off of our Saturday draw with Tottenham. Rice reported having back problems, and Saka was observed leaving the game after 90 minutes with a limp. Saka picked up a knock and hasn’t been able to train with the team since, and Arteta said that he might even miss Saturday’s game against Bournemouth, during his pre-match news conference for our Carabao Cup match against Brentford.
