Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Ligue 1 Striker Jonathan David. As we know already the Gunners are looking to make reinforcements in the summer.
The club is doing great this season and they are the contender to garb the Champions League qualification for the next season.
On the previous summer, the North London club spend £150million on six players. They were silent in January’s transfer window but eye big on the upcoming summer window. They have already planned a high budget for this.
The club and manager Mikel Arteta have started chalking out potential transfer targets behind the scenes.
As per the latest reports of Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenburg, Jonathan David wants to leave Lille in the summer. The 22-year-old forward has no release clause in his contract. Any club wanting to sign him should be playing in the Champions League next season and be ready to splash around €45-55m.
Jonathan David netted 13 goals and two assists in his debut season for reigning Ligue 1 winners. He even guided Lillie to secure the league title after almost a decade. The Canadian has scored 12 goals in 26 outings this season for Les Dogues.
If Arteta’s men finish in the top-four in Premier League 2021/22, it will give them a competitive advantage over their rivals to poach top talents from the transfer market.
