Before the transfer window closes next week, Arsenal is one of the teams “leading the race” to recruit Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda at the Emirates Stadium
The adolescent sensation is wanted by the Gunners to join Mikel Arteta’s team at the eleventh hour. According to sources, Fresneda has accepted offers from both Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund for his services, with each side also agreeing on personal terms with the young player.

So, in addition to acquiring what appears to be a surefire star for the future, Arsenal would also acquire a player who could enter the lineup right away and fight current first-choice Ben White for a spot in Arteta’s regular starting XI.
