According to reports, Arsenal has entered the competition for Patrick Dorgu, a young, talented left-back for Lecce. The 19-year-old Danish international’s availability and possible transfer fee have apparently been inquired about by the Gunners, Chelsea, and Tottenham, two other London teams. Dorgu joined Lecce in 2022 from FC Nordsjælland, a club known for nurturing young talent through its right to dream academy. Lecce is not in a rush to offload the promising defender, who has three years left on his deal.
Pantaleo Corvino, the technical director of Lecce, has set an initial asking price of €30 million for Dorgu, who has drawn a lot of interest from European teams because of his outstanding Serie A play. His current estimated value is €12 million. Lecce’s asking price has been communicated to both Arsenal and Tottenham, although it is unclear if either team will be willing to meet it.
Serie A sensation ready to say ‘yes’ to Arsenal
Lecce’s Pianeta Lecce, an Italian outlet, reports that Patrick Dorgu is prepared to accept a lucrative offer from Arsenal this summer. The Serie A club is holding out for €30 million, and the Gunners watched the 19-year-old multiple times during his 34 games in all competitions last season.
Dorgu can enhance the left wing, according to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, because of his offensive and defensive prowess. Arsenal scouts saw the teenage wonder play against Fiorentina and Sassuolo, scoring in both matches, and were impressed.
