Arsenal are keeping tabs on Sergino Dest’s situation at Barcelona. The full-back had been a regular starter under fellow countryman Ronald Koeman but Barcelona is now looking for other options. It means the Dutchman could have to find a new club sooner.

The Netherlands defender joined Barca from Ajax and even Bayern came close to signing him. Now, Arsenal is also taking interest and they are monitoring the Dutch full-back, according to NBC Sports.

Mikel Arteta wants a pacey defender and Dest would be a nice pick for this. Arsenal signed Takehiro Tomiyasu in the summer and he has been impressive at right-back.

Barcelona are said to want around 40 million euros for the American, but their poor economic situation could see them accept a far lower amount. Dest has featured in 18 matches this season and playing regularly under Xavi.
