Arsenal are reportedly heading the pursuit of Yves Bissouma this summer.
The Brighton And Hove Albion has lapped huge praise and admiration for his exploits in the Premier League.
Not only has he settled in perfectly in England, he seems to be already ready to take the next step in his career. Now, 23, Bissouma has a high enough ceiling to cost Arsenal nearly £30m in the upcoming transfer window. Brighton paid £15m for him in 2019 and would be happy to simply double their investment in such a short time.
The Gunners, of course, are not expected to have a clear path laid out for the Mali international. Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Everton are all pursuing his services as well, all of whom have significant investment powers of their own. Brighton would ideally like to sell Bissouma for £40m or higher but their hands are tied with his contract.
The box-to-box midfielder only has two years left on his contract which gives Brighton just enough leverage. Arsenal desperately need to add to their midfield ranks. Bissouma is seen as the perfect midfield partner to Thomas Partey. We will have to wait and see how the situation unfolds.
