Arsenal legend Tony Adams is of the opinion that Arsenal is a bigger club than Juventus. Adams expressed his disappointment at the departure of Aaron Ramsey who will join Juventus in the summer.

Ramsey joined Arsenal in 2008 and made 363 appearances for the club, scoring 63 goals and providing 64 assists. While Adams believes that things have changed a lot since his retirement, he feels that Juventus is not as big a club as Arsenal.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the former Arsenal and England skipper said, “It’s a different game and a different club to the one that I left in 2002. We would be challenging, Juventus players would be signing for us. Aaron Ramsey’s too good to let go and to not be an Arsenal player forever.

To be fair why would you go to Juventus anyway? They’re a smaller club than Arsenal. To be fair why would you go to Juventus anyway? They’re a smaller club than Arsenal. But other people think differently, maybe he thinks Cardiff’s bigger.”

Ramsey’s performances for Arsenal this season have been pretty decent. In 32 appearances across all competitions, the Welsh midfielder has amassed 4 goals and has provided 7 assists. Ramsey opened the scoring for Arsenal in last weekend’s North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Welshman will hope to produce a strong performance tonight as Arsenal play the first leg of their Europa League last 16 tie against Rennes. This will be Arsenal’s first encounter against the Ligue 1 club.
