Former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere has urged the club to pursue two high-profile wingers this summer as Mikel Arteta prepares for a major attacking overhaul.
Aliadiere believes Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams would significantly strengthen the Gunners’ forward line.
Both players have impressed consistently in recent seasons, and Arsenal have tracked them for some time.
“Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nico Williams would be great additions to the Arsenal team,” Aliadiere said.
However, the former French forward acknowledges that financial realities may complicate any potential deals. He points to Financial Fair Play restrictions as a key obstacle.
“Knowing a little bit about the financial situation and Financial Fair Play, to bring that type of player in you would probably have to sell,” Aliadiere added.
Speculation continues to grow that Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Leandro Trossard could all leave the Emirates at the end of the season.
While Arteta still trusts these players, the club understands that sales may be necessary to fund upgrades.
Arsenal’s recruitment strategy depends heavily on outgoings. Generating money from current squad members would allow the club to reinvest in quality signings like Kvaratskhelia or Williams without breaching financial regulations.
The Georgian winger has dazzled in Serie A, while Williams continues to shine in La Liga. Both players offer pace, creativity, and direct attacking threat qualities Arteta desires.
Whether Arsenal makes a decisive move for either target remains uncertain. Much will depend on their ability to offload attackers first.
The club aims to balance competitiveness with financial discipline, ensuring the squad evolves responsibly ahead of next season.
