Arsenal has been linked with several midfielders in the summer.
The Swiss midfielder will probably leave in the summer and the club needs to find a replacement by the end of this campaign.
AS Roma has shown interest last summer and could reignite their pursuit of signing him in this summer window.
Club legend Kevin Campbell believes there’s nothing to worry if Xhaka decides to leave this summer.
He told Football Insider: “I would be happy for him to leave.
“Xhaka is a good player and at this present moment, he is the best partner for Thomas Partey.
“We don’t have anyone more experienced in that position. Lokonga is a good player but he’s inexperienced. Elneny is someone who can do a job once in a blue moon but he’s not tried and tested. Xhaka is the best we have at the moment.
“I don’t mind him going if he’s replaced in the summer. There is talk of Tielemans and Bissouma. Now we’re talking. They are the level above. They would give Arsenal extra running power. It would allow us to bridge the gap to the bigger teams.
“If Xhaka went to Roma it would be a case of thank you and we move on.”
