Arsenal are confident of signing Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
Paqueta is wanted by teams across Europe. Arsenal will face the task with teams like Newcastle and Roma.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is holding out for £55m to sell the Brazilian midfielder.
As per the reports of CBS Sports, the Gunners believe they can persuade Paqueta to join them.
Lyon understands that the 24-year-old wants to seek a new challenge. He scored nine goals and registered six assists in 35 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
Lucas Paqueta’s agent has stepped in to help advance a move to Arsenal. The agent has reportedly reminded Lyon that the 24-year-old took a pay cut when joining from AC Milan.
Paqueta now want Lyon to return the favour by accepting a lower fee.
