According to reports from Italy, Arsenal have sent scouts to watch AC Milan winger, Suso this past weekend.
The Gunners were known to have already expressed interest in the 25-year-old. Now it seems like Unai Emery has sent his best men to monitor the player during the Rossoneri’s 1-2 victory over Chievo last Sunday.
Suso has recorded 6 goals and 7 assists in 30 games this season. His contract with Milan is set to last till June 2022 and has a release clause worth £40m. This has attracted plenty of clubs since players of his quality are not expected to go for this cheap in the present market.
Arsenal did sign Denis Suarez on loan from Barcelona in January but the Spaniard has struggled to break into the first team. Other than making a few substitute appearances, he has not really impacted the Gunners’ campaign this season.
While Emery does have the chance to sign him permanently next summer he has taken the option of looking into more appropriate alternatives. Suarez understandably is more of a central midfielder even though he can be deployed as a winger.
Suso, on the other hand, has a quality left foot and really knows how to attack the opposition ranks from the wide areas. He can deliver from the right wing and even cut in towards his favoured foot when necessary.
