Arsenal are confident of replacing Hector Bellerin with Max Aarons after this season.
Mikel Arteta wants a change made at right-back with his current options proving to be inadequate.
Neither Hector Bellering nor Cedric Soares can get a look into the squad right now. Calum Chambers has been deputising in the role due to his superior technical qualities but he is not expected to last there forever.
For a while now, Arsenal have scouted Norwich City’s Max Aarons. The Englishman attracted a lot of interest after his first Premier League season with Norwich City in 2019/20. Fortunately for the Gunners, no other club bid for him and he is still available.
If Arsenal successfully manage to sell Bellerin, they could have enough funds to bring in the 21-year-old. Aarons has just helped Norwich City gain back promotion once again to the top-flight.
His services are reportedly valued at £30m with PSG also interested. Aarons is a modern-day full-back with a high ceiling of success. Mikel Arteta wants a player of his mould, capable of supporting the attack whenever needed. Arsenal are also considering a number of other options including Brighton & Hove Albion’s Tariq Lamptey.
