Arsenal are have made enquiries about Bayern Munich’s teenage ace, Angelo Stiller.
The defensive midfielder represents the Bayern II side as of now and is still waiting for his competitive debut for the senior side.
Currently, there is a strong possibility of Stiller moving out of Bayern in search of playing time. Established seniors like Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich will always make it hard for any newcomers to carve out a spot for themselves.
Arsenal could offer a more chances if they undergo a few changes this summer. Lucas Torreira is a player of interest for AC Milan, after his impressive displays in the Premier League. Matteo Guendouzi is still developing as a deep-lying playmaker and Dani Ceballos is expected to head back to Real Madrid after this season. A transfer for Thomas Partey might be out of Arsenal’s reach following the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Reports claim that Mikel Arteta will have to resort to signing free agents or lesser-known players on expiring contracts. Stiller has entered the final year of his deal with Bayern and could be available at a bargain rate. If that were to happen, the German giants will be eager to include a buy-back clause.
Stiller impressed in the UEFA Youth League, grabbing 6 assists in 6 appearances and also scoring against Tottenham. He is a German U18 international, currently being scouted by a number of clubs other than Arsenal.
