Arsenal Made Audacious Bid For Real Madrid Star

The latest reports have revealed that Arsenal had an offer for Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior rejected.

The Gunners broke their transfer record to sign Nicolas Pepe from LOSC Lille but they also made a sizeable bid for the Galactico teenager.

Real signed Eden Hazard from Chelsea this summer and with Gareth Bale also at the club, Vinicus’ minutes are expected to be significantly reduced this season. The Brazilian showed a lot of promise last season when he played as a starter.

Arsenal were looking into a lot of high profile targets and had reportedly bid €50m for the 19-year-old. As expected, Florentino Perez notified the North Londoners that Vinicius was not for sale at any price.

Now, a loan offer could have been entertained but the chances of that was also unlikely since Zinedine Zidane would want to keep a close on eye on what could the very future of Real Madrid.

Arsenal already received Dani Ceballos from Los Blancos on loan and have also exceeded £150m in spendings this summer. Their wing departments seem to be sufficiently covered by the likes of Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Martinelli, two youngsters expected to feature heavily midway through the 2019/20 campaign.
