Fresh reports are emerging about Arsenal’s growing interest in Renato Sanches.
LOSC Lille has reportedly been contacted by The Gunners over the midfielder’s availability.
Sanches has enjoyed a rewarding season for Lille, winning the French crown. He was also a standout performer for Portugal in the 2020 European Championships. Now, that the Portuguese have exited the tournament, there is bound to be plenty of speculation regarding Sanches’ future.
Arsenal are heavily scouting out players who can improve their midfield. Plenty of names have been linked with the North London outfit but none have materialised yet. Mikel Arteta is reportedly looking at creative players who can sit deep while also command the number ten spot.
Renato Sanches is the perfect combination of attacking pedigree and energy on the pitch. He athletic, strong on the ball and has an entire bag of tricks necessary to get out of tight spots. Sanches has developed meteorically since his failed loan move to Swansea City in 2017.
It seemed like the Golden Boy winner’s career was getting derailed. He managed to rejuvenate his career after leaving Bayern Munich for £21.4m. There is no doubt Lille will ask for over double that figure for whoever comes calling for Sanches.
