The latest reports claim that Arsenal have made an offer for Levante midfielder, Enis Bardhi.
Two other clubs are also after him, one Bundesliga outfit and Fiorentina. His contract with Levante is due to run out in June 2022.
Bardhi has impressed this season with 8 goal contributions in 28 games. He has been made to play both in central midfield and the left flank. The 24-year-old does drop to a more defensive midfield role while representing his nation, Macedonia.
There is little to suggest that Bardhi would completely transform Arsenal’s fortunes but he could be an important addition. Mikel Arteta has stressed the importance of taking control of a match when he first took over. If anything, the current side cannot guarantee that and he needs for technical players in the central areas.
The cast of Joe Willock, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira have not fully developed while Granit Xhaka is more of a deep-lying enforcer. Mesut Ozil’s absence since the restart suggests that his time at Arsenal might be drawing to a close. In short, reinforcements are necessary and Bardhi could be another bargain find.
The Macedonian international has 27 caps for his country and 5 international goals to his name. He was signed by Levante in 2017 for €1.5 million. It took him two seasons to cement himself as a first-team regular with the La Liga outfit.
