Mykhaylo Mudryk was the No. 1 player on Arsenal’s transfer wish list for January, but Chelsea entered the fray and sensationally scuttled the Gunners’ pursuit of the 22-year-old

Mudryk has officially signed with the Blues on an eight-and-a-half-year contract, according to the club. According to recent sources, Arsenal is reportedly focusing on Raphinha of Barcelona. However, according to Diario Sport, the Catalans demand a staggering €100 million transfer price to release the winger.

Before signing with Barcelona during the previous summer’s transfer window, the Brazillian international played for Leed United for two years. For Barca, he has made 22 appearances in all leagues while scoring three goals and providing five assists.

Raphinha was a target for Arsenal while he was a Leeds player. The 26-year-old eventually joined Barcelona in a €65 million deal despite preferring to stay in Barcelona. Even though Mudryk was the Gunners’ top target in this transfer window, they were unwilling to break the bank for him.

Although the north London giants are enormous fans of Raphinha, it doesn’t seem realistic that they would be willing to spend €100 million to acquire him this month.

Given that Gabriel Jesus is presently out due to injury, they will likely search for another option as they try to bolster their forward lineup. In order to continue their title defence in the second half of the season, they need reinforcements.
