Arsenal have reportedly offered Petr Cech a coaching position at the club after his retirement.
The shot-stopper has already announced his wishes to quit professional football after this season, bringing an end to an incredible 16-year career.
Cech has featured for Arsenal in over 130 games during the past 4 seasons. He has made 17 appearances so far this far, mostly losing playing time due to the arrival of the younger Bernd Leno last summer.
The Gunners are ready to make the 36-year-old a part of their coaching staff for the upcoming season but they are also concerned over losing him to Chelsea.
Cech made his name in world football during his 11 years with the Blues. He won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, a Europa League trophy and the Champions League trophy in 2012.
The Czech Republic custodian reportedly has been offered a job post-retirement by Chelsea as well. His long association with the club makes it more favourable for him to return to Stamford Bridge than to stick around with Arsenal.
Chelsea are reported to have offered a wider range of jobs as well, ready to make him either the goalkeeping coach or even the club’s ambassador.
