Arsenal have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential summer move for French winger Bradley Barcola, according to reports.
Arsenal Make Approach to Sign PSG Winger Bradley Barcola
The Gunners are pushing for a historic double this season, sitting five points clear of Manchester City in the Premier League title race with just three games remaining.
Mikel Arteta’s side also secured their place in the Champions League final this week after beating Atletico Madrid, ending a 20-year wait for a European showpiece.
But club bosses are already planning for the summer window. Arsenal want to strengthen their attacking options, particularly on the left wing.
Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have shared that role this season, but neither has consistently impressed.
Now, Arsenal have set their sights on Barcola. The 23-year-old France international joined PSG from Lyon for £39m in 2023 and scored 21 goals last season as PSG won Ligue 1 and claimed their first-ever Champions League trophy.
However, Barcola has struggled to replicate that form this term, and reports suggest a summer exit remains possible.
Arsenal have “gathered information” on the player and made an approach to discuss a move to north London. The Gunners face competition, though.
Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Premier League champions Liverpool are also monitoring Barcola’s situation. The winger remains under contract with PSG until 2028.
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has urged Arsenal to sign a new left-winger.
“I think Arsenal will potentially go for a player on the left,” Gerrard told TNT Sports last month.
“I don’t think Martinelli has been as good as he was previously, and Trossard is a good player, but that is an area they might look at.”
Arsenal will hope to take another step toward the Premier League title on Sunday when they visit relegation-threatened West Ham.
